Received fireplace on schedule. The construction appeared to be top quality. The unit was placed in a house of over 2000 sq. ft. with 16 ft cathedral ceilings and a very open floor plan. The unit is suppose to heat 1500 sq. ft. The fireplace will only operate for a max of 30 minutes and then shuts down on it's own. Mfg. replaced pilot light and thermocouple, but unit will not stay lit more than 30 minutes. Mfg. has no way to fix problem. If it won't work in this open of a house floor plan with adequate ventilation it won't work in 95% of the homes it would be used in. It is highly recommended to choose wisely for a ventless fireplace. This one is not recommended. (Posted on 10/27/09)

Received fireplace and we are extremely pleased. Beautiful and very well constructed. Excellent price, after shopping around for ventless fireplaces this was just what I was looking for. No need to worry about ordering off the net - this one is just as pictured (even better). (Posted on 5/30/09)
